Ben and Caragh's Wedding Day ~ Christchurch Cathedral Oxford and Eynsham Hall, Eynsham, Oxfordshire. Having spent 3 years studying Modern History at Christchurch, Caragh knew that she wanted to get married there. Little did she know 8 years on that she would be living and working in Hong Kong !
Organising the wedding from Hong Kong was quite a challenge, the time difference meant that both Ben and Caragh would be doing a full days work and making the wedding arrangements at night. They did have the help of family and friends in the UK, Ben's parents helped to find the wedding venue and Caragh parents helped organise the stationary, cake and table decorations. They only had 2 visits to the UK during the planning process, so those trips were pretty intense. There were a few scary moments along the way, like when Caragh's shoes, which she had hand made in Hong Kong, took 2 weeks longer to make and she ended up collecting them on her way the the airport to fly back for the wedding!
The most important things to Ben and Caragh for their wedding day was the venue and the photographer as they wanted to throw a great party for family and friends and also to have wonderful photographs to remember the day by. Budget wise, these were expensive, but definitely made the day and worth every penny.
An added bonus for Ben and Caragh after their wedding was that one of their wedding images won the accolade of Traditional Wedding Image of the Year 2008
